The Young Innovative Builders Program seeks to recognize and honor creative projects created by young Nigerians that support the goals of the Ministry to expand the digital economy.
The Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy has released some exciting news!
Presenting the Young Innovative Builders (YIB) program, a ground-breaking endeavour that invites college students to apply in order to be eligible to receive one of the 3,256 devices that are on offer (each state, including the FCT, having 40 tablets and 48 laptops).
The Young Initiative Builders program’s eligibility requirements for 2023
To be taken into account for the Young Initiative Builders initiative:
- You have to be a first-year student at a Nigerian postsecondary institution.
- An innovative or tech-enabled project or product that makes use of digital technology should be something you have designed, developed, built, or implemented.
- You have to continue your education. Three months following December 22, 2023, the competition’s end date.
- The application process requires completion of an industrial training program.
- Real-world societal issues should be addressed by the project.
Advantages of the Young Initiative Builders program for 2023
- Tablets will be awarded to the next 40 best ideas and laptops to the top 48.

Applications must be submitted via this website’s specific application form.
A diverse selection committee, comprising representatives from academia, industry, the Ministry, and other stakeholders, will assess applications and assign grades based on a standardized system.
On or before December 22, 2023, the final list of accepted applications will be made public through authorized channels.
