Every year, a limited number of KTH Scholarships are offered based on academic performance to students who are obliged to pay tuition fees and have applied as first priority for a Master’s course at KTH.

KTH Royal Institute Scholarship Requirements:
To be eligible for the KTH scholarship, you must be a fee-paying student with a first-priority application to a master’s degree at KTH. Students who have conditional eligibility are also eligible for the grant.
Programmes that are eligible
Except for the joint Erasmus+, EIT Digital, EIT InnoEnergy, EIT Urban Mobility, and Nordic Five Tech programs, and the joint program Computer Simulations for Science and Engineering, KTH Scholarships are open to applicants to all programs. Applicants to certain of these programs, however, may be eligible for the KTH Joint Programme Scholarship.
The KTH Scholarship is available to applicants for the combined master’s programs in Molecular Techniques in Life Science and Innovative Technology for Healthy Living (EIT Health).
The Advantages of the KTH Royal Institute Scholarship
The KTH Scholarship covers the first and second years of tuition at KTH, provided that the first year’s study results are sufficient.
The scholarship does not cover living expenses.

The Selection Process for KTH Royal Institute Scholarships
The scholarship is offered mostly based on academic performance, and the selection process runs concurrently with the admissions process.
Only applicants who meet the entrance standards of the program for which they are applying are eligible for a scholarship.
After applications have been evaluated for admission, applicants for scholarships are evaluated using the following criteria:
- Grade point average (GPA) or equivalent of the applicant.
- The university’s rating that conferred the applicant’s bachelor’s degree.
- Motivation, relevant professional experience, and extracurricular activities of the candidate.
- The applicant’s rationale for pursuing a master’s degree from KTH and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
