KFUPM offers complete MS and PhD King Fahd University Scholarships to deserving graduate candidates who show a strong aptitude for carrying out original research in the business, engineering, and science domains.
The King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is renowned for its cutting edge research, globally competitive graduates, and leadership in the energy sector. In the domains of science, engineering, and business, the university has an impact both inside and outside of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In addition to a wide range of conventional subjects, the university currently offers 30 Master’s degrees, 10 PhD programs, and interdisciplinary programs that anticipate market trends and address national needs.
Requirements for 2024 King Fahd University Scholarship
In order to be eligible for the King Fahd University Scholarship, you need to meet the requirements listed below:
Regarding MS Programs
- A four-year Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in science or engineering from an accredited university, with a focus in the selected field, or proof of appropriate preparation for joining the selected field.
- An academic record of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 or higher (for scholarship applicants) or at least 2.50 on a scale of 4.00 or similar (for non-scholarship applicants).
- Attainment of a minimum TOEFL score of 70 (IBT), 190 (CBT), or 520 (PBT).
- Two recommendation letters, ideally from the academic staff of the applicant’s university-level courses. [to be submitted via the online method for recommendations]
- Fulfilling any additional departmental or university admission requirements to a satisfactory degree.
Extra For Master’s Degrees in Business Administration
- Obtaining a minimum score of 450 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
- Two recommendation letters, ideally from the professors who instructed the applicant’s undergraduate courses.
- A minimum of one calculus course at the collegiate level that addresses both integration and differentiation topics.
- A minimum of one course in computer science demonstrating a working knowledge of computers (e.g. data processing, programming, information systems, etc.)
- Three years or more of experience working full-time. Graduate assistants, research assistants, and candidates with outstanding academic records may be exempt from this requirement.
Extra Regarding PhD Programs
- An M.S. in science or engineering from a university with graduate programs comparable to KFUPM, with a focus on the proposed field or proof of appropriate preparation for joining the field.
- Two recommendation letters, ideally from the professors who instructed the graduate courses the applicant was applying to.
Duration and Award of the 2024 King Fahd University Scholarship
The scholarship will cover all of the program’s tuition costs and come with free meals, fully furnished, air-conditioned housing, monthly stipends, airfare, and medical care.
