The sponsors (benefactors, businesses, and foundations) of the Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Scholarships fund generously provide funding so that the most deserving overseas students can attend Sciences Po. Scholarship recipients may have direct communication with private sponsors during formal events.

These companies: BNP Paribas, Chalhoub Group, RATP Foundation, L’Oréal, and Total, support the Émile Boutmy excellence scholarship.

Qualifications for the 2024 Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Scholarships

Students must meet certain requirements in order to be eligible for the scholarship:

They must be first-time applicants.
Come from a non-EU state.
Have an admitted undergraduate or graduate degree.
Their household must not file taxes within the EU.

The following students are not eligible:

Applicants from Switzerland and Norway might be eligible for CROUS scholarships.
Applicants with multiple citizenship, including citizenship in the EU.
Quebec candidates for master’s degree (because they are eligible for the same sliding scale costs as applicants from Europe). Quebec residents who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree are able to apply for master’s level dual degrees. The only dual degrees that accept applications are the following ones:
The Journalism Sciences Po/Columbia University joint degree.
the Europe-Asia in Global Affairs dual degree program offered by Sciences Po/Fudan University (open to Chinese nationals only).
The Sciences Po/Peking University dual degree program (open to only Chinese nationals).
Students in the Ph.D. program (thesis).
Applicants for the one-year Master’s degree.
Candidates for a bachelor’s dual degree (unless as part of a special arrangement).
Students on exchange.
Applicants using the graduate admissions process in French.

Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Scholarships’ advantages

The Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Bachelor’s Degree Program Students who are starting their first year of studies at Sciences Po are given scholarships.
The Émile Boutmy program is available in multiple formats.
A €14,210 annual tuition assistance for the three years of the bachelor’s degree.
A €9,500 annual tuition grant for the three years of the undergraduate degree.
A three-year undergraduate program that provides a €6,500 annual tuition assistance.
A three-year undergraduate program that provides €3,900 annual tuition assistance.

If your academic year is not verified, your scholarship will be forfeited.

Should you be awarded a scholarship and choose to postpone your enrollment, your scholarship will be forfeited.

The tuition fee grant will not be withheld from scholarship applicants during their year abroad (the third year of the undergraduate degree).

If the student decides to pursue graduate studies at Sciences Po, the Émile Boutmy scholarship is automatically renewed.

Global Masters

Students who are enrolling at Sciences Po for their first year of study are given the Émile Boutmy scholarship.
The Émile Boutmy program is a tuition award that partially covers the tuition costs for the two years of the Master’s degree program. The amount provided in 2023 is €13,100; the number for 2024 is not yet confirmed.
Holders of the Émile Boutmy scholarship who are currently enrolled at Sciences Po: the scholarship’s award amount is decided at the time of acceptance. It might be refigured.
When applicable, it may be updated annually to reflect increases in tuition fees.
If your academic year is not verified, your scholarship will be forfeited.
Should you receive a scholarship and choose to postpone your admission, the scholarship will be forfeited.

No more documents are required for graduate-level applications.
Should you receive a scholarship and choose to postpone your admission, the scholarship will be forfeited.

Graduate-level applications do not require any additional documents, however, please be aware that we may ask for evidence of income if needed.

Those who apply from secondary schools abroad

In the Sciences Po application’s “Financial Information” section, international secondary school applicants must specify that they are applying for the Émile Boutmy scholarship.

Please be aware that we may require applicants to submit documentation proving their income and outlining their family circumstances, such as pay stubs, divorce decree, income tax returns for both parents, unemployment benefits records, paperwork of child support, alimony, or retirement pensions, or death certificates.

First Time Applicants at the Master’s Level

In the “Financial information” section of their Sciences Po application, masters-level candidates must state that they are applying for the Émile Boutmy scholarship.

It is important to note that applicants may be required to submit proof of income and documentation elucidating their family circumstances (such as both parents’ income tax returns, pay stubs, divorce decree, unemployment benefits records, documents of child support, alimony, or retirement pensions, or death certificates). The applicant’s language exam, if applicable, must also be attached.
