Scholarship from the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Specifics

MSc Requirements

  • A Second Class Lower (2.2) with appropriate industry experience, or a minimum of a Second Class Upper (2.1) qualification in their first degree.
  • Needed to have fulfilled the required National Youth Service (NYSC).
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Five O-level credits, two of which are in mathematics and English language.
  • A statement of purpose (no more than 500 words) outlining the purpose(s) of the proposed study, its industry significance, and its anticipated effects on national development.
  • Before applying for the scholarship, candidates must have a National Identity Number (NIN) and need to verify it (there are fees associated with NIMC verification).

Ph.D. Requirements

  • Needed to have finished Masters.
  • Needed to have fulfilled the required National Youth Service (NYSC).
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Five O-level credits, two of which are in mathematics and English language.
  • A strong post-graduate degree and a minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2) in their first degree.
  • A five-page research proposal that is pertinent to the oil and gas sector should have the following elements: topic, introduction, goal, methodology, and data collection technique.
  • A letter from their vice-chancellors verifying that they are not receiving any other scholarships is required of all lecturers.
  • Before applying for the scholarship, candidates must have a National Identity Number (NIN) and must have had it validated (there are NIMC verification fees).
