Fleet Officer Position Details:

Location: Nigeria | Ogun.

Work Description:

As a Fleet Officer, you will plan and coordinate the transportation of cement products to distribution centers or retail locations for customers, as well as the movement of raw materials supplies to the plant. You will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of transport policies and processes.

Principal Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Oversee and plan the daily operations of the company’s truck drivers, including loading, dispatching, and deliveries.
  • Truck tracking, monitoring, and control ensure that company assets are available and used efficiently.
  • Organize the prompt, precise, and secure supply of cement to clients or depots.
  • Create an equipment servicing and maintenance schedule.
  • Keep an eye on the appropriateness, promptness, and quality of equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Keep yourself safe and well.
  • Be sure that the place of work is safe and healthy by adhering to and upholding policies and guidelines.
  • Create and deliver truck status reports to the supervisor.
  • Make sure that AGO is recovered over short distances.
  • Make sure that all mishaps and associated problems are promptly reported.
  • Carry out any additional tasks that the Head of Transport assigns you.

Qualifications & Conditions:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a similar discipline, or its equivalent.
  • Two(2) years’ worth of minimum experience managing logistics.

Proficiency & Abilities:

  • The capacity to adjust to modifications in protocols, technology, or occupational settings.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
  • Rudimentary familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • A basic understanding of inventory management systems that are system-based.
