About People’s Economy Lab
It is marshaled by and centers communities of color in our district that are victims of disproportionate harm in this elicits economy. We assemble community leaders, transformative workshops, and better economic models built by us. We go beyond the boundaries of what’s possible for a Just Transition to local, community-centered economies that are fair, life-changing, and re-forming. The communities are facing systemic racism, income and wealth imbalance, the climate crisis, and the Covid pandemic, all built on an extorting economy from communities of color, immigrants and refugees, women, and other vulnerable communities toward the restriction of wealth for a few. To change things, we must move from extorting economy to a re-forming economy.
